Opera 12.18 is a maintenance update that aims to enhance the security of the web browser. In Opera 12.18, a number of unsafe protocols have been removed. The TLS 1.1 and 1.2 have been enabled in the Opera browser by default. This version will only work on Windows and not on Linux or Mac. It is not likely that they will release a 12.18 version for Linux and Mac because the Opera 12.16 is the final version for them.
Opera 12.18 has a feature rich download manager that allows you to keep track of your downloads. The download manager is compatible with BitTorrent. It has options that allow you to block offensive content in your web surfing. The version has also updated the Opera Mail client. You can personalize the browser’s appearance with a number of skins. You can add more functionalities to the browser by installing widgets. The Opera Dragonfly debugging tool can be used to debug bug issues you encounter in the Opera browser.
The Opera 12.18 browser features Opera Unite which you can use to share files and photos with your friends. Fraud and Malware Protection can prevent you from accessing sites that uses malware. The private browsing mode will delete all your search query history. You can easily remove the cookies and it has an auto update feature that automatically update itself with the latest updates. The browser supports geolocation, HTML5 and CSS3. Opera 12.18 is only released for Windows OS.
