Dictate text, edit and format it without touching the keyboard. Google Docs voice typing is now like a personal secretary. Back in September, Google has introduced voice input, which allows to format the text without using the keyboard, and now has expanded its capabilities.
With the help of voice input, you can:
- dictate text;
- insert lists;
- move through the text;
- edit a document (copy, paste, delete some of the text, insert links or formula);
- insert and edit tables;
- text formatting: change the font, font color, background color, font style and paragraph, and so on.
Click the “Tools” and select “Voice input”, click on the microphone icon and start to dictate text. Google Docs perfectly recognizes the voice, however, have to speak loud enough. This problem is solved by connecting an external microphone. With voice input is only works in Google Chrome. List of all the voice commands, refer to the Google help .
One can argue, it is convenient or inconvenient – to dictate text, but it’s certainly an impressive and useful update. And still dictate text a lot of fun, try it!
