Fxif 0.2.3 is a Javascript based Firefox extension that you can use in viewing the EXIF data of photos taken with digital cameras, This extension can only be used to find out the EXIF data of images in the JPEG formats because the developer wanted to keep the addon simple.
Fxif 0.2.3 is useful for finding out the exact settings of the digital camera when the photo is taken. The majority of the digital camera models will add EXIF data into the photos. To view the EXIF data of an image, you simply right click on the image and choose Properties from the right click menu. The EXIF data provides a number of information on the photo such as camera make/model, date the image was taken, flash, focal length, CCD width, exposure time, aperture, focus distance and metering mode.
You can click on the Copy button to copy all the EXIF data onto a notepad. The majority of the digital cameras will automatically add the EXIF data onto your photo. The Fxif 0.2.3 extension can also display the metadata of the images in IPTC NAA and XMP formats. Examples of IPTC-NAA data are photographer name, photo description, photo title, and keywords. Examples of XMP data it can display are headline, description.
Fxif 0.2.3 offers a few configuration options. For example, you can customize the coordinate formats of the photo including degree minutes seconds, degree minutes and decimal degree. You can enter your own link for the map. The Fxif extension supports a number of languages including Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, German, Czech, Simplified Chinese and French. You can configure the Fxif addon through the addon manager. The Fxif 0.2.3 extension is completely free to download. The source code for the extension can be found in the XPI file.
