CurrPorts 1.90 is a practical extension that displays all ports that are currently opened on the computer system. This is a handy extension for people who want to know if they are using a TCP or UDP port. It will show you a list of the executable files used in the TCP and UDP port. It provides complete information about the port including remote address, protocol, local address, process name and etc. You can end a connection by clicking on the X button on the toolbar. You can search for a process by using the search function in the toolbar. It displays the total number of ports and remote connections at the bottom.
Connections that have been successfully established will appear in green color. Connections with applications that cannot be verified are marked in red. In this way, you will know which connection is dangerous. If you notice an application that you don’t recognize, you can end the connection. It provides detailed information on the location of the file so that you can effectively remove it from the computer system.
The information can be generated into a HTML report so that you can review it later. You can choose what information you want to include in the HTML report by using the filter. The filter allows you to filter out the information that you don’t want to include in the report based on criteria such as process, and remote address. You can configure which columns you want to view. You can set it to automatically refresh to show the most up to date list of applications in a certain timeframe.
What’s New
- A new option called Tray Balloon On New Ports is added which when enabled along with the Put Icon On Tray option will display all the new ports on a tray balloon
