Contextsearch for Firefox 0.4.3 is an extension that can add a search menu to gives you the capability of searching in different search engines. It supports search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Amazon, Creative Commons, Dictionary.com and eBay. When you want to search a word, you just select it and right click on it. When you right click on the selected word, you will see a menu with the search for menu item that points to a submenu with many different search engines. Contextsearch Firefox 0.4.3 supports more than 40 search engines on the web.
If you left click, it will open a new tab with the homepage to the particular search engine. If you press the middle button of the mouse, it will open a new tab and you will automatically focus onto the tab. You can also open a search engine in a new tab and automatically switch the focus to it when you press Ctrl + click. Pressing Shift + Click will open the search result in a different window.
You can add your own search engine into the menu by clicking on the ContextSearch icon next to the search bar and selecting the Manage Search Engines option. This will open a window that shows you the list of search engines that are currently installed. You can click on the Get more search engines link to add more search engines.
You can press the delete button to delete a search engine. You can also change the sequence of the search engine by clicking on the Move Up or Move Down button in the Manage Search Engine List window. You can edit the label of the search engine. You will find the Contextsearch addon useful if you often do research on more than one search engines.
